Hynpotherapy

Hypnosis is an altered awareness in which access is available to the sub-conscious mind. The hypnotic state is one, in which the conscious mind is awake and aware of what is going on, simultaneously providing access to the sub-conscious mind.

It is a guided hypnosis, or a trance-like state of focus and concentration achieved with the help of a clinical hypnotherapist. This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one’s own thoughts or meditations. In this state, persons can turn their attention completely inward to find and utilize the natural resources deep within themselves that can help them make changes or regain control in certain areas of their life. (ref: Psychology Today)

In this state it is possible to learn, give suggestions for behavioral excellence, deal with anxiety brought about by situations or people, get over fears and phobias, treat substance addiction including tobacco/smoking, set triggers for peak performance in work, study or sports, and resolve relationship issues etc.  It is also helpful to improve sleep, manage learning disorders, stammering and certain undesired spontaneous behavior patterns. It can assist in pain management, digestive disorders, skin allergies and dealing with side effects of medicines including chemotherapy.

Clinical hypnotherapy is generally performed in a calm and safe space with focus on therapy. The therapist guides the person into a relaxed, but aware state and brings into conscious awareness about experiences and memories in positive ways to release the energy blocks and experience shifts in beliefs and patterns of thinking and behavior.
